Anomaly and Fraud-Risk Detection
Fi, your AI CFO, checks your ledger for entries that look wrong and for patterns that carry fraud risk. For each finding, Fi shows the figures behind it, explains why it matters, and recommends what to do.
Before You Begin
Some capabilities depend on your plan. See Fiskl plans.
What Fi Flags
Ledger Errors
Fi checks your full ledger for:
- Duplicate transactions
- Misclassified entries
- Tax that is missing, or inconsistent with similar transactions
- Unexpected spikes
- Missing categories
Fraud-Risk Patterns
Fi also flags patterns that auditors investigate, including:
- Negative expense balances
- Profit that is higher than revenue
- Cash that does not follow reported profit
- Critically overdue receivables
- Indicators of possible fictitious revenue
How a Finding Is Presented
For each finding, Fi:
- Identifies the records and periods involved
- Quantifies the amount at stake
- Explains why the pattern carries risk
- Recommends the next step, such as reviewing a journal entry, checking a classification, or following up an overdue invoice
Example Questions
- "Check my ledger for anything that looks wrong"
- "Run a fraud-risk review on this year's accounts"
- "Are there duplicate transactions in the last three months?"
Act on a Finding
Ask Fi to correct an error it found, such as a wrong ledger account or tax rate. Fi makes the change in your ledger, and the Audit Log records it.
You Decide the Outcome
A fraud-risk flag is evidence for review. You or your accountant review the records behind it and decide what happened. A pattern can come from an error, a timing difference, a valid but unusual event, or a control failure.
