Branch Dashboard
This page explains what the branch dashboard shows and how to use it to monitor activity, billing, and team status for a single branch.
Accessing the Branch Dashboard
Select a branch from the branch selector at the top of the left menu. The dashboard is the default view when you open a branch.
Dashboard Cards
The branch dashboard displays three summary cards at the top of the page.
Clients
This card shows the total number of clients within the branch. It includes both Charge Us and Client Pays clients.
Team Members
This card shows the count of team members assigned to the branch. This includes all roles — Owners, Admins, and Members.
Estimated Bill
This card shows the estimated bill for the branch in its billing currency, along with the next due date. This figure applies to Charge Us clients only. Client Pays accounts do not appear on your branch invoice.
The estimated bill may be higher than your regular monthly total if you have recently added clients mid-cycle. See Understanding mid-cycle billing below for a detailed explanation.
Understanding Mid-Cycle Billing
When you add a new Charge Us client partway through a billing cycle, the prorated amount for the remaining days is not charged immediately. Instead, it is included on your next invoice alongside the full monthly charges.
For example, if you have two clients at $20 per month, your regular bill is $40. If you add a third client halfway through the month, the next invoice includes three full monthly charges ($60) plus the prorated half-month for the new client ($10). This makes the next estimated bill $70.
The following month returns to the regular amount of $60 for three clients. The one-time bump reflects the partial-month catch-up, not a billing error.
This prorating behaviour can cause the estimated bill card to show a higher-than-expected figure immediately after adding new clients.
Quick Links
Below the summary cards, a quick links section provides shortcuts to key areas of the branch. These links take you directly to the Clients and Team management sections without navigating through the sidebar.
Activity Log
The bottom section of the branch dashboard displays the activity audit log. This log records every action taken within the branch across all team members.
The activity log shows events such as client additions, team member changes, permission updates, and billing actions. You can use this log to track what happened and who performed each action within the branch.
