The Advisory View
This guide explains how to read the Advisory view, open a client's attention panel, and deal with each item.
Opening the Advisory View
Go to Client Management > Clients. At the top of the list, switch the view from Clients to Advisory.
To make Advisory your starting view, select Open this view by default. The choice is saved for your login only.
You can also reach the view from the Clients needing attention card on the branch dashboard.
Reading the List
Clients are sorted by attention, with the most urgent first. Above the list, a summary line tells you how many clients are urgent, or that all clients are in good shape.
Each row shows the client, an attention rating and the signals that fired. Further columns show the figures behind the signals:
- Next tax due — The next return and how many days remain. Dates marked estimated are worked out from the filing cadence rather than confirmed by the tax authority
- Overdue receivables — The overdue amount, the invoice count and the age of the oldest
- Bank feed — Up to date, broken, or days since the last sync
- Unmatched items — Bank lines not yet booked
- Books health — Findings from the books check, split by priority
- Cash runway, Current ratio, Margins — Computed from the ledger when you open the client
- Last activity and Last note sent
Select Columns to hide the columns you do not use, or to reset them.
Filtering
Use Needs attention to hide clients with nothing open, or All to see everyone. The search box filters by client name.
Refreshing
Signals are fetched when the view opens and kept for a few minutes. The time of the last fetch appears under the list. Select Refresh signals to fetch again.
Some columns read Open to compute. Cash runway, ratios, margins and the books check take a few seconds to calculate, so Atlas works them out the first time you open that client and keeps the result for a day.
The Attention Panel
Select a client row to open the attention panel. It has three tabs.
Items
This tab lists every open item for the client, newest first. Each item shows its rating, when it was first flagged and the figures behind it. Below them, a collapsed list holds items that are snoozed, dismissed or resolved.
From here you can:
- Select one or more items and select Draft note to write to the client. See Advisory Notes
- Select Snooze on an item to hide it until a date you choose
- Select Dismiss on an item to hide it for good, with a reason
- Select Reopen on a snoozed or dismissed item to bring it back
Select Open in Fiskl to go straight into the client's Fiskl account, or Client page to open their record in Atlas.
Metrics
The figures Atlas computed for this client: cash and runway, current and quick ratios, working capital, gross and net margin, the books check, receivables aging, bank feeds and upcoming tax filings. The date they were computed appears at the top. Select Refresh for today's figures.
History
Everything that has happened to this client's items: when each was flagged, escalated, snoozed, dismissed, reopened or resolved, and every note drafted or sent. Entries show who did it, or Atlas when the system did.
Snoozing an Item
Snooze an item when you know about it and it is in hand. The item leaves the attention list until the date you choose.
- Select Snooze on the item
- Select 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month, or pick a date
- Add a reason if you want it on record
- Select Snooze
If the signal gets worse before the date, the item comes back on its own.
Dismissing an Item
Dismiss an item that does not apply to this client. A reason is required and stays in the history.
- Select Dismiss on the item
- Enter a reason of at least three characters
- Select Dismiss
A dismissed item stays hidden unless the signal escalates.
How Items Resolve
You do not need to close an item yourself. When the signal clears, such as the client paying the overdue invoices or the bank feed reconnecting, Atlas marks the item Resolved itself on the next refresh.
Common Issues
A client's row shows no signals at all
Nobody from your firm has opened this client's Fiskl account from Atlas yet, so the connection is not complete. Open the client list in the Clients view, select Set Up Access if it appears, then Access Fiskl. The client appears in Advisory on the next refresh. See The Client List and Client Page.
The view says live signals are unavailable
Atlas could not reach Fiskl to fetch fresh signals and is showing the last figures it held. Select Refresh signals in a few minutes. If the message persists, contact support.
You cannot see the Advisory view or the dashboard card
You need the View advisory permission. Ask your branch Owner or Admin to enable it for you under the Advisory tab of your permissions.
Snooze and Dismiss are greyed out
You need the Action advisory items permission. Viewing is separate from acting, so a Viewer, for example, can read the view but cannot change items.
