Atlas Settings

This guide explains each part of the Atlas settings page and what each setting applies to.

Opening Settings

There are two ways to open settings:

  • For the branch you are working in — Go to Administration > Settings in the left menu
  • For any branch — Select your organisation name at the top of the left menu to open the branch selector, then select the gear icon next to the branch

The settings menu has three groups, and each one applies at a different level:

GroupPagesApplies to
AccountProfile, Notifications, SecurityYou personally, whichever branch you are in
BranchDetails, Billing, AdvisoryThe branch you are working in
OrganizationParent account, Referral programYour whole practice, across all branches

Branch settings always apply to the branch shown at the top right of the settings page. To change another branch's settings, select the gear icon next to that branch in the branch selector.

  • Email address — Select Change to update the email you sign in with
  • Password — Select Change to set a new password
  • Regional settings — Your language, country or region, and timezone. Select Edit regional settings to update them.

You can turn off most notifications. Critical account alerts are required and cannot be turned off. To return all notifications to their original settings, select Reset to defaults.

Email Digest

The email digest batches non-urgent notifications into a single email, rather than sending each one separately.

  1. Turn on Enable email digest
  2. Select how often you want to receive it from Frequency, for example Daily — once per day at 9:00 AM
  3. Select Save changes

To undo changes you haven't saved, select Discard.

Security

Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security to your account using an authenticator app.

  1. Go to Security in your settings
  2. Select Enable MFA
  3. Open your authenticator app, such as Google Authenticator, Authy, Microsoft Authenticator, or 1Password
  4. Scan the QR code shown in Atlas. If you can't scan it, enter the code shown below the QR code into your app instead. Select the copy icon to copy it.
  5. Enter the 6-digit code from your app in Authenticator Code
  6. Select Verify & Enable MFA

To stop without turning on MFA, select Cancel.

If you lose access to your authenticator app, ask a team member with the Reset MFA permission to reset it for you.

You must add a payment method before you can create client accounts on the Charge Us model. To add one, select Add Payment Method or Add card. Atlas opens the Stripe portal, where you enter your card or bank details.

Once a payment method is set up, Billing shows:

  • Billing Address — The billing contact and address. To change them, select Update billing details.

Both buttons open the Stripe portal. Changes made there apply to future invoices. To see your invoices, go to Administration > Billing. See Branch Management.

Advisory

Advisory controls which signals flag a client for your attention, the thresholds that trigger them, and how AI-drafted notes to clients sound. Settings apply to the whole firm, and you need the Manage advisory settings permission to change them.

See Advisory Settings for every signal, its default threshold, and the note tone options.

Organization Settings

Only Owners and Admins can access Organization settings. Members cannot.
