Partner Program Overview

The Partner Program allows accounting firms to earn referral revenue when clients sign up for Fiskl through your unique referral links. This guide explains how the program works and helps you start earning from successful referrals.

Why Join the Partner Program

The Partner Program rewards your firm for recommending Fiskl to clients. You earn recurring revenue for each client who subscribes through your referral links while maintaining full accounting access to their accounts.

Key benefits:

  • Earn recurring revenue from client subscriptions
  • Track referral performance in one dashboard
  • Create custom referral links for different campaigns
  • Manage referrals across all branches or per branch
  • No additional work required after enrollment

Key Concepts

Understanding these concepts is essential for working with the Partner Program:

  • Referral Link: A unique URL that tracks which clients sign up through your recommendation. You can create multiple links for different campaigns or client segments.
  • Partner Dashboard: A separate interface (outside the Accounting Portal) where you manage referral links, view detailed analytics, and configure program settings.
  • Portal Referral Dashboard: The referral overview within your Accounting Portal that shows basic statistics and links to the full Partner Dashboard.
  • Parent-Level Enrollment: Applying the Partner Program across all branches in your organization using one set of referral links.
  • Branch-Level Enrollment: Setting up separate Partner Programs for individual branches, each with their own referral links and tracking.

How the Program Works

The Partner Program operates alongside the Client Pays billing model. When you enroll, you gain access to referral tracking and commission payments for clients who subscribe through your links.

Enrollment Options

You can enroll in the Partner Program at two levels:

Parent Organization Level: Enroll your entire organization with one Partner Program. All branches share the same referral links and revenue pools into one account. This option simplifies management when you want centralized tracking across locations.

Branch Level: Enroll individual branches separately. Each branch receives its own Partner Program with unique referral links and separate revenue tracking. This option works well when branches operate independently or need different referral strategies.

You can mix approaches—enroll some branches individually while leaving others outside the program. Choose the structure that matches your firm's needs.

After enrolling, you access your referral links through two interfaces:

Portal Referral Dashboard (inside Accounting Portal):

  • View referral statistics and revenue
  • See which clients signed up through your links
  • Copy existing referral links
  • Quick access to the full Partner Dashboard

Partner Dashboard (separate interface):

  • Create new referral links
  • Customize link names and tracking
  • View detailed analytics and performance
  • Configure payment settings
  • Manage commission structure

When inviting clients through the Client Pays model, you select which referral link to use during the invitation flow. Alternatively, you can send referral links directly to prospects before they're ready to become clients.

Revenue and Payments

You earn commission based on your clients' subscription payments. The Partner Dashboard shows:

  • Current referral revenue
  • Upcoming payments
  • Historical earnings
  • Active referrals by client
  • Payment schedule

Fiskl processes payments according to your Partner Program terms. All payment details and settings are managed through the Partner Dashboard, not the Accounting Portal.

Getting Started

To begin earning referral revenue:

  1. Decide on enrollment level: Choose whether to enroll at parent or branch level based on your organizational structure.

  2. Enroll in the program: Go to your Accounting Portal dashboard and select Join Partner Program. Complete the enrollment process.

  3. Access the Partner Dashboard: After enrollment, select View Partner Dashboard from the Portal Referral Dashboard. Set up your referral links and payment preferences.

  4. Invite clients: When adding clients using the Client Pays model, select your referral link during the invitation flow.

  5. Track performance: Monitor referrals and revenue through the Portal Referral Dashboard or access detailed analytics in the full Partner Dashboard.

The Partner Dashboard provides tools for creating and organizing referral links:

Creating Links: Generate new referral links with custom names to track different campaigns, client segments, or marketing channels. For example, create separate links for email campaigns, website visitors, or networking events.

Organizing Links: Name your links descriptively to identify their source later. Examples: "Email-Newsletter-2025", "Website-Footer", or "Industry-Conference".

Using Links: Copy links directly from either dashboard. During the Client Pays invitation flow, you can select which link to use from your available options.

Portal vs Partner Dashboard

The Accounting Portal and Partner Dashboard serve different purposes:

Portal Referral Dashboard (inside Accounting Portal):

  • Quick overview of referral statistics
  • Basic revenue information
  • Direct link copying
  • Simplified interface for daily use

Partner Dashboard (separate interface):

  • Complete referral analytics
  • Custom link creation
  • Payment configuration
  • Advanced tracking options
  • Detailed performance metrics

You'll use the Portal Referral Dashboard for day-to-day referrals and the Partner Dashboard when you need to create links or review detailed analytics.

Important Considerations

Client Pays Only: The Partner Program only applies to clients using the Client Pays billing model. Clients on the Bill Us model (where your firm pays) don't generate referral revenue.

Separate Platforms: The Partner Dashboard is a separate platform from the Accounting Portal. You'll need to access it through the link provided in your Portal Referral Dashboard.

Payment Processing: All payment methods, schedules, and financial details are configured in the Partner Dashboard, not the Accounting Portal.

Email Communications: Fiskl doesn't send invitation emails to your clients. You send all referral links and invitations from your own email system using the templates and links provided.
